Your first harvest date now shapes the forecast

Enter your expected first harvest date and the Harvest Forecast uses it to give you a more realistic start of season.

What's new

You can now enter your expected first harvest date in Cultivation Strategy, under Key dates. The Harvest Forecast treats that date as evidence of how quickly your crop develops. If the forecast would have expected development to be slower, it speeds it up so your first harvest date actually yields harvest. If it would have expected development to be faster, it slows it down, so kilos are not stacked into your first harvest week. In Harvest Expectations, your first harvest date is marked with a dashed ‘First harvest’ line on the chart and a ‘First harvest’ tag on the matching week.

Why it matters

At planting there is no fruit to measure yet, so the forecast has to estimate when harvest begins. Your own expected date is the best evidence available. Using it gives you a more realistic start of season, with a first harvest week that reflects a realistic share of the season's kilos rather than a bulked-up total. It also gives your sales team a clearer view of where the season starts.

How it works

-Open your cultivation and go to Strategy, then Cultivation Strategy.

-In the Key dates card, fill in Expected first harvest date and click Save.

-Open Harvest Expectations to see the First harvest line on the chart.

-Find the week of your first harvest, marked with a First harvest tag.

-To change the date, click the cog on the tag to return to Key dates.
