Track Green and Colored Pepper Harvest Separately

Green harvest now has its own place in your pepper forecast.

What's new

Growers who pick part of their pepper crop green can now register and commit that green harvest separately from colored harvest. Harvest Forecast backs the green picked fruit out of the colored forecast in the week it would have colored, rather than the week it was picked. Turn on green harvest by week in Harvest Expectations, or set it to always apply for varieties that are consistently sold green.

Why it matters

Until now, every green-picked fruit stayed inside the colored forecast even though it would never arrive as colored harvest, so the plan drifted away from what a grower could actually sell. Separating the two keeps the colored forecast honest.

Availability

All pepper varieties that support green harvest.
*Green harvest can currently only be committed per day, so it isn't yet part of the 4 week out commitments in Harvest Expectations.
