Stop Ask Source Mid-Answer and Keep Typing
September 2026
Ask Source can now be stopped mid-answer, corrected immediately, and trusted through a dropped connection.
What's new
While an answer streams, the send button becomes a stop button. Selecting it ends the answer there. The message box stays active throughout, so the next question can be drafted while the current one is still running and sent as soon as it lands.
This release also changes how the report composer handles revisions: requesting a change keeps the current report visible, with a small refreshing indicator, and swaps in the updated version once it's ready, rather than clearing the screen while it regenerates.
Separately, a dropped connection no longer registers a completed answer as an error, and an expired session reconnects automatically instead of going quiet.
Why it matters
A wrong question previously meant waiting out the response, sometimes several minutes, before asking again. It now costs seconds. Reviewing a report revision no longer means losing sight of the version being compared against. And a completed answer is no longer misreported as a failure.
