Saved Reports Stay Accurate as New Data Arrives
September 2026
Your saved reports now stay accurate, even as new data starts coming in.
Saved reports now describe what to report, not a frozen picture of your data from the day they were created.
What's new
Previously, if a report noted that a metric was missing (for example, a cultivation with no irrigation data yet), it repeated that line indefinitely, even after the data began flowing in. The composer was preserving a snapshot rather than an instruction.
It now preserves the instruction instead. Reports are still built by chatting, as before. If a requested metric is not yet recorded for a cultivation, Ask Source omits it from the saved report and flags this in the chat, allowing you to substitute another metric or proceed without it. To have a section check for new data on every run instead, this can be specified when building the report.
Why it matters
A report configured in spring should retain its meaning through the season, rather than continuing to flag data as missing once a greenhouse begins recording it. This addressed a gap that was easy to overlook: identifying it required reading a weekly report closely enough to notice it describing available data as unavailable.
