Rien Kamman, CEO and co-founder of Source says:
We are thrilled to expand our business to North America, and forge direct partnerships with the innovative growers in Canada, the US, and Mexico. Our goal is to support these growers in operating their farms more efficiently and sustainably. With the North American greenhouse horticulture market projected to grow by nearly 10% over the next five years, this region presents significant opportunities for our company to make a positive impact and contribute to the industry's growth and success.
Lucas Mann, Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Acre Venture Partners:
Source.ag's groundbreaking AI technology has demonstrated its potential to revolutionize protected agriculture, empowering growers worldwide to increase vegetable yields and adopt climate resilient practices. With the rising popularity of greenhouse farming in North America, Source.ag's timely expansion into the region is poised to make a significant impact and I am excited to see the rapid adoption by North American growers.
Source.ag’s solutions have been rolled out across the largest global fresh vegetable segments—tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers—with the eventual aim of improving operations for all fruit and vegetable growers.
After the successful commercial launch and implementation of its first product, Source Track, a platform to track, compare, and improve cultivation, the company recently launched their newest product to growers worldwide: Source Irrigation Control helps growers scale operations and improve irrigation management, while decreasing the need for manual intervention and the time to adapt to new seed varieties or locations.
Source.ag’s current clients include Agro Care, Thanet Earth, Le Jardin de Rabelais, and C. Zwinkels, and the company will be partnering with growers across North America pioneering its AI technology to track and improve cultivations. Globally, more than 280 commercial greenhouses covering over 4400 acres benefit from Source.ag’s revolutionary solutions.
Source is accelerating access to fresh fruit and vegetables by empowering the world’s growers with AI. Founded in 2020 by Rien Kamman (CEO) and Ernst van Bruggen (CPO), Source.ag has brought together a team of experienced engineers and plant scientists and has partnered with the world’s leading growers to build the sector’s most advanced artificial intelligence. Their proprietary algorithms simulate plant behavior to define and execute optimal cultivation strategies, taking into account millions of data points on climate, biology, and resources. By enabling more growers to operate more facilities more efficiently through pioneering tech, Source is making greenhouse agriculture accessible, profitable and globally scalable. They’re on a mission to provide nutritious food to more people, using fewer resources.
